EcoLight: My Top Tips for Eco-Friendly Living

I've a wall fixture in my Brooklyn house's bathroom that's my only source of gentle. A sticker on the fixture says that it is Max 75W. The other day, the 14W / 60W equivalent CFL that was in it since I moved in burned out and i had to substitute it. Since it is my only source of mild within the room and it's 2015, I bought a 13W / 75W equal LED bulb to go in it, the best I may discover at the native hardware store. The strangest factor is, after i screwed in the new bulb, the sunshine refused to work. Once i screwed in a larger CFL, say a 20W / 75W equivalent, it also refused to work. Solely when i screwed in one other 14W / 60W equivalent CFL did it finally work. All model new bulbs that work in different sockets across the condominium. Does anyone know what is likely to be behind this? Ought to I get an electrician in to check this out, or are some mild fixtures simply not suitable with LEDs?
