EcoLight: Brighten Rooms Without High Bills

Perhaps you_ve already performed the righteous thing and swapped out all your EcoLight energy-sucking incandescents and never-universally-useful CFLs for long-lasting, mercury-free, vitality-saving LED bulbs. More possible, you_ve dropped in a few here and there, with combined results. LED bulbs can still be cold, alien-wanting things with odd shapes, splayed fins, and dazzling worth tags. However they keep getting better-and cheaper. For those who haven_t already, now is the time to start making the change, and we_re going to clarify how and why. The primary LED bulbs I tried made my residing room look like a hospital ward. How do I avoid that stark white mild? Newer models do a better job of diffusing the tiny directional beams that LEDs generate. But even so, you might want to start out with lower-lumen (that means less bright) bulbs. LED bulbs-which home digital circuits and light-emitting diodes that act as semiconductors rather than filaments-now are available "color temperatures," including heat tones that may mimic incandescent bulbs and flatter furnishings, equivalent to varnished wooden.
